NV EnergyNATE stands for North American Technician Excellence. It is an HVAC&R technician certification program. When you call to your Local Air Conditioning Company and learn that their technicians are NATE-certified - then you can be sure that they know what they’re doing and that the HVAC job that you hire them to do will be done properly.

NATE is the nation's largest nonprofit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) technicians.
To maintain this certification, heating & cooling technicians are required to complete ongoing training and accreditation. This helps them stay up to date with constantly emerging new technology in Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning industry.
There are four levels a technician may attain during this training, ranging from an entry-level, for someone starting in the field, to Senior Level Efficiency Analyst Certification.
The highest level is reserved for a professional with a minimum of five years in the industry, who has previously earned two NATE service certifications, one in heating and one in cooling. After successful completion of a comprehensive exam, they earn Senior status.
NATE certifications must be renewed every two years.
